MedQuest is a six-day, summer, residential health careers exploration program for southern Vermont high school students* currently enrolled in grades 9, 10 and ll. Admission is competitive and scholarships are available upon parent request.

MedQuest Goals

  • Explore a variety of careers and opportunities in health care.

  • Increase awareness of personal interests, values and skills in relation to specific health careers.

Admission Process

Students must submit a completed application and 2 references to Southern VT AHEC by March 18, 2009. Student selection is based on the quality of the student’s application and their references. Each MedQuest program serves 20 high school students; a waiting list is maintained. Parents must submit a scholarship request with the student’s application. Students will be notified by March 31, 2009.

*Student Eligibility: MedQuest is open to all Vermont residents, to students who live in neighboring states and attend a Vermont regional/technical center, or attend a public or private Vermont high school.
